Your notes · Tell Us What Happened · 1 sources · updated 2026-11-01

What happens when you tell us what happened in the room?

You fill in a short form about the event, what you were asked to sign and what happened after. A person on the project reads it. Nothing is published automatically. An account is published only if you say yes, and only after it has been reviewed and anonymised. You can say no to publication and still be heard.

What do we ask you?

Seven things, in plain questions, and you can leave out anything you do not want to say:

  • What kind of program was it? Describe the kind, not the name.
  • What kind of venue was it?
  • What were you asked to sign, and when?
  • What did you pay?
  • What happened after?
  • May we publish your account anonymously? Yes or no.
  • May we contact you? Yes or no. If yes, you give an email address.

Do not send card numbers, passwords or ID numbers. The form never needs them.

Please describe kinds, not names: leave out company, coach, program and personal names. Any names that arrive are removed before anything is published.

Who reads it, and what is moderation?

Moderation means a person reviews every submission before anything about it could be published. The reviewer checks that an account can be told without naming any company, coach, program, event or person, and without identifying you. Submissions that cannot be anonymised are not published. Submissions are held in the project's form account with its web host, and only the project's administrators can see them. The steps: read the account, remove names and identifying details, confirm consent by email if you said we may contact you, then publish or file it.

When is anything published?

Only when you have said yes to publication, and only after review. Nothing auto-publishes. A published account is anonymised: no names, and no details that point at one seller or at you. If you say no, your answers are not published as an account. Otherwise, answers are used only to spot patterns across accounts, described without identifying details. To withdraw a published account, email privacy@coachedintodebt.org; we take it down within 30 days.

How long do you keep what I send?

We delete submissions and contact details 12 months after we last act on them, and a withdrawn submission within 30 days of your request. If you agreed to publication, we keep your consent record for as long as your account is published. Read the privacy page

Is this a complaint to a regulator, or legal advice?

No to both. This form does not file a complaint with any agency and cannot resolve your dispute. The FTC uses reports to investigate and bring cases, but it can't resolve cases for individuals [S56]. For where each complaint goes, see Where should I report a coaching company, and what does each complaint do?. If you are thinking of legal action, talk to a lawyer or legal aid before you write anything down for anyone.

What does the form look like?

Consent checkbox, required: "I have read the privacy page, and I agree that Coached Into Debt may read what I send."

Describe kinds, not names. Please leave out company, coach and program names, health details, card numbers, passwords and ID numbers.
